From comprehensive content editing to beta reading and proofreading, hire me to edit your book and get you ready for publication!
I take your already stellar manuscript and give it insight from a fresh pair of eyes to help make your dreams a reality.
I’m passionate about storytelling. I love working with authors and writers who share my love of worldbuilding, character development, and escapism. I’m here to help transform your drafts into beautiful and engaging stories that will get noticed by your ideal readers.
Take a look at my editing and beta reading services. I’ll tackle your first draft, your final masterpiece, or anywhere in between (with the exception of beta reading services). Let’s work together to help your readers hear the story you have to tell and become raving fans that will share your work with others.
Comprehensive Content Editing
You’ll submit your entire book manuscript and I will read it, edit it, and send it back to you with feedback on how to improve it. It’s my goal to help get your book to its best version before you pursue publishing. When I return your manuscript, it will be professionally line edited and copyedited for spelling and grammar as well as thoroughly searched for plot holes, ways to develop characters more, and any other content revisions I’d suggest to make the piece stronger. I will also provide a copy sheet to help you keep track of all your story’s lore, characters, and other important information all in one place.
Pricing: 2 cents per word
Beta Reading
You’ll submit either your entire book manuscript or a section of chapters and I will read it and send it back to you with feedback. You’ll dictate the kind of feedback you need—whether it’s finding plot holes, diving into character development, evaluating the believability or willing suspension of disbelief, or simply asking, “Is this something people will want to read?” I’m happy to provide professional insight and critique to help you along in the writing process. When I return your manuscript, it will come with the feedback in comments/annotated format. This service does not include line editing.
Pricing: $25-$45 per hour depending on project scope
*Please complete at least one round of edits prior to sending me your manuscript.
Proofreading
You’ll submit either your entire book manuscript or a section of chapters and I will read it and edit it. Line editing, copyediting, whatever your preferred term is—it all falls under this category of my services. I will check for spelling, grammar, and consistency across the content. When I return your manuscript, it will come with the edits in track changes/suggestions format. This service does not include feedback on the story itself.
Pricing: 1 cent per word

Copy Sheet
Your master document for all things your book! A copy sheet will help you keep track of your story’s lore, characters, and other important information. Using a copy sheet ensures everything is spelled the same throughout the manuscript, minimizes the chance of plot holes, creates an easy reference as you expand your worldbuilding, and keeps you organized so you can focus on the writing. Example uses: character list/family tree, magic system outlines, mystery clues, backstory organization, and more.
Pricing: Starting at $250 depending on project scope
First Chapter Evaluation
Send me your first chapter and I will line edit up to 5,000 words. You’ll also receive developmental feedback on conflict and character introductions, pacing, and worldbuilding. This service is intended for any step of the writing process—from rough draft to polished.
Pricing: $50 one time payment
Short Story Line Editing
Working on a short story for a collection or literary magazine? I’d be happy to edit short fiction as well! All the same care and attention I’d give to editing a manuscript. I’ll focus on stylistic structure, pacing, and of course general grammar and spelling edits.
Pricing: $50 for the first 5,000 words, 2 cents per word for any additional words
FAQ
Do you work with nonfiction manuscripts?
Typically, my clients write fiction, and I work best at giving feedback for fiction! However, I’m happy to offer my proofreading services for any type of writing, nonfiction included. If you’re a nonfiction writer and are interested in my comprehensive editing or beta reading services, please still reach out—I’d love to talk about your project and see if I may still be the right fit or refer you to another editor I may know who is more suited for your content.
How long will it take you to return my manuscript?
Of course this depends on the length of your manuscript, but I can typically turn around an average-sized project in under a month. There are, however, many things that can impact the timeline such as the amount of projects I have in a given quarter and the deadlines of the writers with which I work. Let’s chat about your project more specifically!
Do you ever edit content other than book manuscripts?
Sometimes! If you have a different project such as a blog, email newsletter, web copy, or something else, I’d be happy to talk with you about working together to edit your content within the same categories listed above. However, since book manuscripts are my main focus, those projects will take priority over additional jobs outside that medium. Let’s chat about your inquiry more specifically (just choose the “help me decide” option on the form)!
What kind of file will you accept?
I’ll take a Microsoft Word document or a shared Google document! I’ll also return the file in the same format you submitted it.
What’s your take on AI?
I fall into the anti-generative AI camp, within reason, largely due to environmental factors and the effect it can have on developing brains. While I understand there are helpful and innovative uses for it in professional settings, I also take pride in creating original content free of shortcuts that will stand out in a sea of AI generated content. I believe we have a responsibility to our world and to younger generations to be smart and intentional about the impact our actions will have on the future. I do not edit AI-generated content. Do not submit any AI-written work.
